MOOSECREW RACING DON'T BE FOOLED BY OTHER SITES, THIS IS WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
|

About 30 miles west of Philadelphia in a town known as Pottstown there is a small
Automotive Repair shop called Paul's Repair Service. Established in 1941 by Paul Reinford
Sr., is where the Moose dynasty began. Paul Reinford Jr., and his brother Horace started
working on automobiles with their father. As the years passed a 1938 chevy was being build
for the drag strip. They called this car the Moose, it was red in color, with a big moosehead on
the side. The brothers ran the car at local strips like MapleGrove Drag-O-Way, Atco,
Vargo,York and the grand daddy of all race tracks Indy"The Big Go" in a class called D-Gas.
Which Paul held a few national records with. A few years later, Paul and Horace started
building and racing a 27 roadster known as the MOOSE 2. Soon after Horace got out of
racing, and Paul sold the 38 and 27, and Then built a 69 Nova known as Moose Duece which
Paul ran in the early stages of Pro Stock. But in 1976 Paul went to a differnt style of chevy.
The corvette, and in 1977 Paul debut a beautiful 1965 corvette with the Yellow color that
has stayed on all his cars since the 38 was changed from red to yellow. Paul raced the 65
vette till in 1986. In the works was a new corvette, a 1963 split window. An all tube chassis
car that was built at Ed Quays by Paul and his son Scott. Paul has since sold the 63 to a close
friend, Scott still drives the car. In 2007 the 63 was in a crash and is in the process of being
rebuilt for its second debut coming 2008 with a new paint scheme. The standard yellow will
be part of that scheme
